WA Members’ Professional Development Grant
Planning to attend a conference or professional development event?
Current ACCCN members* are invited to apply for ACCCN Members’ Professional Development Grants, which offer financial assistance to support attendance at educational or professional development activities such as conferences, forums, short courses (excluding formal tuition fees), workshops, or meetings relevant to critical care nursing.
Grants may cover expenses related to travel, registration, and/or accommodation for the approved activity.
The total funding available for Members’ Professional Development Grants is determined annually at the discretion of ACCCN.
*To be eligible, applicants must be current financial members of ACCCN with at least 12 months of continuous membership.
Key Dates
- 2026 Round 1 Applications open 1 February to 10 March 2026
- 2026 Round 2 Applications open 1 July to 11 August 2026

Eligibility
- The applicant is a current financial member of ACCCN and has been for at least the past 12 months;
- The continuing educational activity is relevant to critical care nursing;
- The applicant must submit a completed online application form;
- Members cannot receive more than one grant per two-year period (calendar year);
- Only one application will be accepted per member each calendar year;
- Only the member applying for the grant can receive the funding; and
- Retrospective funding will not be considered – that is, applications must be received by the closing date for a professional development activity that occurs in the future. Funding may be allocated as a reimbursement, as we cannot guarantee to process applications in time to meet early bird registration deadlines. It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure they register and pay according to event deadlines.
Review & Notification
- The State Committee will decide whether to allocate the amount requested by the applicant, part thereof, or not to award an allocation; and
- The funding decisions made by the State Committee are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Notification of Application Outcome
- All applicant(s) will be notified of the outcome of their application via email.
Grant Recipient Obligations and Responsibilities
- Grant recipient(s) must provide evidence of registration and relevant receipts associated with attending the event before payment can be made;
- Following attendance at the nominated professional development activity, successful grant recipient(s) will be required to submit a short report to ACCCN describing the activity outcomes (approx. 200 words). This reports must be received by the ACCCN within 30 days of attending the activity; and
- Names of successful applicants and the short report may be published in the ACCCN Newsletter, website and social media channels.
