Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Ltd. (ACCCN) members are invited to nominate for election to an ACCCN State Branch Committee of Management position.
These positions offer an exciting opportunity to be part of the governance of ACCCN and participate in the implementation of strategic plans and objectives of the College. You will benefit personally through the skills, experience, and networking opportunities available to you via your involvement at Branch management level.
ACCCN consists of six State Branches, all of which have a Branch Management Committee. Each Branch Management Committee has an executive of President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, National representative and a number of committee members. The total number of positions on each Branch Management Committee was chosen by the respective branches at the formation of the College:
Western Australia = 6
South Australia = 11
Tasmania = 7
Victoria = 12
New South Wales = 12
Queensland = 9
There are also three Queensland sub-branches (Gold Coast, Central and Northern), all of which have four positions consisting of sub-branch President, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee member. * The three Queensland sub-branch Presidents also participate in the Queensland Branch Management Committee to make a final committee total of 12 members.
Every year ACCCN calls for nominations from members for half the total number of Branch Management Committee positions and for any vacancies that have occurred since the last election.

The ACCCN Ltd Constitution outlines the role of the Branch Management Committees. The Constitution is available on the ACCCN website. You must be a financial member of ACCCN to be elected to a management committee position. Your nomination form must be supported by two other ACCCN members.
