Advanced Life Support Education

ACCCN offers a comprehensive range of Instructor, Adult and Paediatric Resuscitation Programs. Programs are suitable for all healthcare professionals (Nursing, Medical, Allied Health) to attend, but are specifically aimed at nurses and medical staff working in a critical care environment, or with critically ill patients. These programs follow current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. ALS programs are currently offered in all states except the Northern Territory. Metropolitan and rural courses are offered; prices will vary between states and centres due to costs. Full day programs are fully catered.

Introduction of 2010 Resuscitation Guidelines into ACCCN ALS Programs

The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) released the 2010 Resuscitation Guidelines last October and as a result the ARC released their new guidelines for Australia in December 2010. The ARC will allow 12 months for ALS course providers to change from the 2005 guidelines to the 2010 guidelines. ACCCN has commenced the introduction of the 2010 Resuscitation Guidelines with all ACCCN ALS programs switching to the 2010 guidelines by the ICE Meeting in May 2011.

ALS Program Materials

ACCCN's ALS Manuals and Workbooks are currently being revised to incorporate the new guidelines.
