Critical Care Nursing Continuing Education
11th Annual Meeting ICE 2010
Friday 21 - Saturday 22 May 2010
Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach, New South Wales
Invitation
It is our great pleasure to welcome all critical care nurses to beautiful Sydney! We are delighted to invite you to the Novotel at Brighton-Le-Sands for the 11th Annual ICE Meeting. The ICE Meeting is a premier conference and a unique educational opportunity offered by the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN) for nurses, by nurses from all critical care areas, adult and paediatric.
The ICE Organising Committee has developed a program to cater for the diversity in practice across the critical care spectrum, with the opportunity to gain clinical, professional and practical information. Our invited Faculty will present a broad range of quality sessions for conference attendees, including clinically focussed sessions, workforce issues, quality matters, infection control, research in critical care, organ and tissue donation, emergency and trauma nursing, as well as paediatric sessions just to name a few.
As well as the program, we are offering pre-conference courses and workshops on Wednesday and Thursday, including the ADAPT Workshop and a range of ALS programs. Sessions will be delivered using lecture style presentation, workshops, case presentation and panel discussion. It is a primary objective of the ICE Meeting that delegates actively participate rather than just attend. Sharing of knowledge via discussion is vital to learning, therefore the Chair of each session will ensure this is well facilitated. The very popular ALS Fast Track Certification will be available for those wishing to gain re-certification during the meeting.
The ICE Meeting also provides trade exhibitors with a forum to showcase their expertise via display booths or sponsored breakfast sessions. Delegates will be able to engage with trade and soak up the views while sipping quality barista coffee and nibbling tasty morsels of delight. You can then look forward to a hearty lunch set to keep you going through the rest of the sessions.
The social highlight of the meeting is of course the ICE dinner on Friday night. Not only will you have the opportunity to enjoy the company of your colleagues socially over a great meal followed by a twirl or two on the dance floor, you can also meet and discuss your interests with a diverse range of like minded professionals. We are certain the evening will be a most enjoyable and memorable experience.
We invite you to join us for what will not only be an exciting conference, but a unique and memorable experience.
