Credentialling

ACCCN offers a Credentialling service. You can become an Australian Credentialled Critical Care Nurse (ACCN).

WHO CAN CREDENTIAL
If you are a Registered Nurse and believe that you practice at the level of a specialist practitioner in a Critical Care setting then you are invited to apply. You do not necessarily need to be a member of ACCCN however if you are a member, then the cost of credentialling is reduced. If you would like to join ACCCN, then please do not hesitate to contact the National Office to ask for an information and application package, or you can join online.

THE PURPOSE OF CREDENTIALLING
• To promote excellence in critical care nursing care through the establishment of national standards of practice for specialist critical care nurses;
• To provide an opportunity for critical care nurses to confirm competence;
• To identify through a recognised credential, those nurses meeting the national standards;
• Professional and collegial recognition; and
• National (and potentially international) transferability of the credential.
